The US company Fisher Space Pen has its origins from the 50s where it was mainly engaged in the development of universal cartridge pens. The owner was not satisfied with simple cartridge's so he developed a pen where the ink from the cartridge flowed when you wanted it to. This company had then revolutionized the pen industry as it had created a pen that worked underwater, upside down, and in space. Since the ink was able to flow out of the pen in space, the USA astronauts used Fisher's pen, thus giving it the name, the Fisher Space Pen. Today the company still produces its original space pens, as well as a range of other pens that resound quality and are at the tip top of its other pen competitors.
